A report claims that as many as half a dozen youth players could be used in Manchester United's Premier League finale against Cardiff City on Sunday.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly intends to promote six youth players into his first-team squad for this weekend's clash with Cardiff City.

The Red Devils take on Solskjaer's former side with little to play for on the final day of the Premier League season, having already missed out on a place in the top four.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Norwegian could use the game as a chance to give younger players a chance to impress at Old Trafford.

Angel Gomes, Dylan Levitt, Arnau Puigmal, Mason Greenwood, James Garner and Tahith Chong all trained with the first team earlier this week, it is claimed, and are now each in line to feature on Sunday.

Chong already has first-team experience, most recently being used from the bench in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town last week, while Gomes, Garner and Greenwood have also been involved at various stages of the season.
