Manchester United are understood to have increased their offer for Shinji Kagawa as they look to land the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
The Japanese international spoke to United manager Sir Alex Ferguson last week ahead of a possible move to England.
However, the Premier League club's valuation of Kagawa was thought to have been well below Dortmund's asking price.
They have now improved their offer to £13m as they look to finalise the transfer, according to the Daily Mail.
Kagawa scored 14 goals in all competitions last season as Dortmund secured the first league and cup double in their history.
