Roberto Mancini has admitted that he is to blame for Manchester City's 1-0 loss to Everton on Tuesday evening.
Darron Gibson's second-half strike condemned Mancini's side to defeat but the Italian believes that he had made mistakes in preparation for the match.
The 47-year-old said: "I made mistakes, and it is an admission from me that I got it wrong - sometimes it is possible to make mistakes."
City's defeat mean that they are level on points with Manchester United after their rivals beat Stoke City 2-0 at Old Trafford.
Mancini's team face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.
