Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that Angelo Henriquez's loan move from Manchester United will be a success.
The 18-year-old, who joined United in September, is expected to complete a move to the DW Stadium in January.
The highly-rated youngster has not managed to break into the first team at Old Trafford, although Martinez claims that Henriquez will have a similar experience to Tom Cleverley, who was at the Latics during the 2010-11 season while signed to the club.
"Angelo is as good a goalscorer as you will find," the Spaniard told The Mirror. "He scored goals at Universidad de Chile and he is going to score goals here.
"I am sure he will be an important player for United.
"We are glad we can work with him and he can use Wigan as Tom Cleverley did and adapt to what is needed in this league."
Henriquez scored on his debut against Serbia for the Chile national side in November.
