Juan Mata: Manchester United are playing "high-level football"

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata feels that his side are starting to show that they can play "high-level football" after drawing 1-1 with Chelsea.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has admitted that confidence is high at the club after they recorded a third positive result in the space of nine days.

After hitting three goals in wins over Derby County and Stoke City, United drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, although they were denied victory after a late equaliser from Diego Costa.

Despite missing out on maximum points in West London, Mata has revealed that he and his teammates are pleased with their recent performances.

The 27-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Obviously when you win and play good football, the confidence comes back and we are showing now that we can play high-level football and attractive, offensive football because that is what we have been trying to do.

"That's what our fans want to see and we try our best in every game. In the last three or four games, we have played really, really good."

United sit six points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City in the Premier League table.
