Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will always be remembered fondly at Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old secured a move to Arsenal on Monday evening as part of a swap deal that sent Alexis Sanchez to the North-West outfit.
Mkhitaryan was only midway through his second season at United when he was offloaded, but the winger struggled to sustain a regular place in Mourinho's team.
The Armenian international had moments of joy in a United shirt - in particular was scoring in the Red Devils' Europa League final win over Sevilla last season.
"I would like to wish Henrikh all the success and happiness that I am sure he is going to get," Mourinho told United's official website. "He is a player that we will not forget, especially for his contribution to our Europa League victory."
Mkhitaryan started just 11 Premier League matches for United this season.
