David Moyes: 'Manchester United miles off top four'

Man United boss David Moyes admits that his team are "a long way off" qualifying for the Champions League this season.

Manchester United boss David Moyes has admitted that his team are "a long way off" qualifying for the Champions League this season.

United slumped to a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford this afternoon, slipping 12 points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, who have three games in hand.

"It looks like we are a long way off it, we are well aware of that but we are going to keep fighting," he told reporters at full time.

Steven Gerrard scored a penalty in either half for the Reds before Luis Suarez capped a memorable win for Brendan Rodgers's men with six minutes remaining.

Moyes's men travel to Upton Park for a clash with West Ham United next weekend.
