David Moyes: 'Danny Welbeck fit to face Hull City'

Manchester United manager David Moyes confirms that Danny Welbeck is fit enough to face Hull City on Boxing Day.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has confirmed that Danny Welbeck is fit enough to face Hull City on Boxing Day.

The striker was forced off with a knee problem on Saturday during United's 3-1 win at home to West Ham United in the Premier League.

However, Moyes has revealed that Welbeck should be available for the team's trip to the KC Stadium on Thursday as they continue the defence of their title.

"It's only a kick to his knee," the Scot told reporters. "I didn't know exactly what it was after the game. He'd had a knee problem a few weeks ago, but this was a kick to it. He's trained and we hope that he's okay."

Welbeck has scored three goals in his last three matches for the Red Devils.
