David Moyes "will benefit" from Manchester United stint

David Moyes says that he benefited as a manager from his brief spell in charge of Manchester United.

David Moyes has insisted that he "will benefit" from his ill-fated spell in charge of Manchester United.

The 51-year-old signed a six-year contract upon his arrival at Old Trafford last summer, but following a string of unfavourable results he was sacked in April.

However, despite the negativity that surrounded his tenure, Moyes believes that he has become a better manager for the experience.

"I really enjoyed my time at Manchester United. It taught me some invaluable lessons. I'm sure I will benefit from the whole experience," he told the Sunday Post.

"I believe I'll be a much wiser and more knowledgeable coach and manager from the short period I had at Old Trafford."

Moyes went on to confirm that he has received a couple of managerial offers, although he is unsure as to when he will return to the game.
