Michael Owen backs Manchester United to win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Stoke City striker Michael Owen has backed Manchester United to defeat Manchester City in the derby on Sunday.

The Red Devils will increase their lead over second-place City to six points at the top of the Premier League table with victory at the Etihad Stadium.

"I think United will win and I'm not just saying that because I played for them," Owen told The Mirror. "If they get their tactics right I don't think they have too much to fear from City."

Owen played for United from 2009 until 2012 before joining Stoke in September on a free transfer.
