Manchester United striker Michael Owen has denied speculation that he is planning to retire in the summer.
The 32-year-old has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons, resulting in him losing his place in the England squad as well as slipping down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Reports over the last few days had claimed that Owen was considering hanging up his boots to concentrate on his other passion, horse racing.
However, the former Liverpool and Real Madrid centre-forward has revealed that he is desperate to play again.
Where have all these rumours come from? Bursting my balls to get back playing, not to stop playing!!!," he wrote on Twitter. "Rumour mill never ceases to amaze. Where do they come from? And why do I keep getting linked to other clubs?"
Owen joined the Red Devils on a free transfer in 2009.
