Paul Parker: Manchester United "painful" to watch

Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker says that he finds Louis van Gaal's side "painful" to watch.

Paul Parker has criticised the style of play that Louis van Gaal has implemented at Manchester United this season.

Despite being fourth in the Premier League, the Red Devils have been condemned on numerous occasions for the lack of pace and direct approach displayed for much of the campaign.

Former United full-back Parker, who now works as a pundit in Asia, is the latest to have voiced his opinion, having described Van Gaal's men as being "painful" to watch.

"If I wasn't doing television, I wouldn't watch it. It's too painful," he told The Sun.

"It's negative, not good to watch, it's disheartening and not enjoyable. United are big out in Asia and people come up to me and just shake their heads."

Tomorrow, United face Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
