Facundo Pellistri is named in the first XI as Manchester United Under-23s take on Everton Under-23s.

Facundo Pellistri has been named in the first XI as Manchester United Under-23s prepare to face Everton Under-23s on Friday night.

The Uruguayan youngster, who arrived from Penarol on October 5, is yet to make his debut for United but was on the bench for the 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

Pellistri will wear the colours of his new club for the first time on Friday, though, having been handed a spot in the starting XI at Leigh Sports Village.

The 18-year-old made 37 appearances for Penarol before arriving at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils thought to have beaten a number of clubs to the attacker's signature.

Brandon Williams and Marcos Rojo have also been named in the side against Everton Under-23s, with both players struggling for match sharpness in the early stages of the 2020-21 campaign.

Highly-rated centre-back Teden Mengi, who is currently training with the United first team, has also been included in the starting lineup.
