Former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has admitted that he supported Tottenham Hotspur during a clash against Manchester City last season.
The Manchester United hitman, who moved to Old Trafford from the Emirates last summer, has revealed that he cheered on the Gunners' arch rivals as United were just one game away from taking the Premier League title from City.
"I cheered for Spurs against City," Van Persie told United's official website. "Can you believe it? An ex-Arsenal player wanted Spurs to win! We knew the title was one game away."
Van Persie will begin pre-season next week with his teammates under new manager David Moyes.
