Manchester United's Morgan Schneiderlin: 'We need to keep showing desire'

Morgan Schneiderlin says that Manchester United need to keep showing desire following their win over Arsenal on Sunday.

Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has claimed that he and his teammates need to keep showing desire following their triumph over Arsenal at the weekend.

Louis van Gaal's side recovered from a string of poor results by overcoming Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup, FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and Arsenal in one week.

Eighteen-year-old Marcus Rashford scored a brace and Ander Herrera netted the winner in a 3-2 win over the Gunners at Old Trafford.

"You have to show that [desire] week in and week out, but even more so when we have a lot of injuries and a lot of young players that are not known," Schneiderlin told MUTV. "Everyone wants to show that they deserve a place at Manchester United and everyone wants to fight for the badge.

"We had a big discussion a few weeks ago, saying the results weren't what we expect, but also that it's not only about us. It is about the whole town, about the whole football club. So we need to make sure we place Manchester United in the right place."

United, who are currently fifth in the Premier League table, will take on Watford on Wednesday night.
