Ian Snodin in agreement with David Moyes over divers

Everton legend Ian Snodin praises Manchester United manager David Moyes for his criticism for Ashley Young's diving in the 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Everton legend Ian Snodin has backed Manchester United manager David Moyes's stance on players diving.

Moyes was quick to criticise Ashley Young after the winger was booked for simulation in United's 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Snodin has said that he is in full agreement with the former Blues boss.

"I was delighted to hear David Moyes take Ashley Young to task for his diving antics at Old Trafford on Saturday," Snodin wrote in his Liverpool Echo.

"Call me old fashioned but I really hate to see that kind of behaviour on a football pitch."

"Moyes would never put up with it at Goodison Park – Phil Neville was fined for doing it in the [Merseyside] derby last season – and I am pleased to see he is refusing to accept it at Old Trafford."

Palace chairman Steve Parish was also heavily critical of Young after the game.
