Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal bored of Wayne Rooney questions

Louis van Gaal insists that he is tired of answering Wayne Rooney-related questions after his skipper drew a blank in Manchester United's 0-0 draw with Manchester City.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has slammed Wayne Rooney's critics and insisted that he is no longer answering questions about his captain.

The striker, 30, missed a couple of chances in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Manchester City at Old Trafford, after which the Dutchman was quizzed over the skipper's form.

"I have to talk every week about Rooney, why?" Van Gaal reporters. "Write it down, it's your opinion. I don't give any more answers about Rooney because I'm sick of it."

Rooney has scored twice in nine Premier League outings this season.
