Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has been included in the Netherlands squad for next month's friendlies against Indonesia and China in the Far East.
It had been reported that the 29-year-old would be omitted by Louis van Gaal in order to give him a rest following his exertions with the English champions last season, but the coach has opted to call upon the former Arsenal frontman.
Everton defender Jonny Heitinga has been recalled, while there is also a space for Ricky van Wolfswinkel, who will join Norwich City from Sporting Lisbon this summer.
However, regulars Kevin Strootman, Bruno Martins Indi, Stefan de Vrij and Jordy Clasie have not been selected to allow them to join up with the Under-21 squad for the European Championships in Israel.
