Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock believes that Wilfried Zaha is better than some of the players currently at Manchester United under Louis van Gaal.
Zaha was allowed to join the Eagles on a season-long loan deal after struggling to break into the United team under the Dutchman and former boss David Moyes following his move to the club in the summer of 2013.
Warnock believes that the 22-year-old's big move came too soon in his development, but feels that he has undoubted potential to become a top player in the Premier League.
"It happened too soon but you can't turn it down, can you?" Warnock told reporters. "The thing about Wilfried is, however far he goes in the game, it's down to him. It isn't down to anybody else and that is a great thing to have if you take advantage of it.
"I talk to Wilfried all the time and we played Manchester United recently and I think Wilfried is far better than some of those in the team. It's just managers seem to have a bit more faith in players if they sign them.
"But I think Wilfried knows he has to change as well. There are some parts of his game he has to change to become a top player and that's what he is working on at the moment."
Palace face off against Aston Villa in their Premier League clash later today.
