Manchester United winger Ashley Young has insisted that the team is desperate to win the International Champions Cup final following their victory over Real Madrid.
Young scored twice on Saturday as United saw off the European champions 3-1 in Detroit.
The Red Devils will now face old rivals Liverpool in Miami on Monday evening to determine who lifts the pre-season trophy.
"It was a fantastic result [against Madrid]. We wanted to be on the front foot from the start and that's what happened," Young told the club's official website.
"We only needed a draw but we're Manchester United so we were only focused on the win. And we want to win the whole tournament now.
"It doesn't matter that it's pre-season, we're here to try to pick up the trophy. We're in the final and we want to win it."
United start their Premier League campaign on August 16 when they welcome Swansea City to Old Trafford.
