Ashley Young and Chris Smalling overcome their respective injuries to join up with their Manchester United teammates for their pre-season tour in Japan.

Manchester United pair Ashley Young and Chris Smalling have joined up with their teammates in Japan for the club's latest leg of their pre-season tour.

There were concerns over whether the duo would play a part in the Red Devils' pre-season preparations as they were left in Manchester due to injuries that they sustained last season.

Despite their setbacks, winger Young and defender Smalling have arrived in Asia along with Shinji Kagawa, who has joined up with his club teammates for the first time following international duty with Japan at the Confederations Cup.

United will go up against Yokohama Marinos, Cerezo Osaka and Kitchee while in Asia.
