Language barrier could save Luis Suarez

Spanish slang could get Liverpool striker Luis Suarez off the hook with the FA while they investigate racism allegations made by Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

Luis Suarez could escape any disciplinary action from the Football Association regarding racism allegations from Manchester United's Patrice Evra due to Spanish slang, according to the Independent.

The Liverpool striker has maintained his innocence over accusations of a racial slur towards the Red Devils defender at Anfield last month.

It is understood that the Uruguay international called the Frenchman a "negrito", which translates as "little black fella" in Spanish.

The term is generally used in an affectionate or playful way in South America, which may have confused Evra's understanding during the 1-1 draw in Merseyside.

If this proves to be the case, then it could be difficult for the governing body to impose any action against the Reds' frontman.
