David Moyes gets Jose Mourinho backing

Jose Mourinho believes that David Moyes will not be sacked by Manchester United anytime soon.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has backed David Moyes to steer Manchester United to success.

The Scotsman, who succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson as the United boss last summer, has come under pressure following his side's disappointing Premier League campaign so far.

"He has a fantastic job and is very, very stable," The Telegraph quotes the Portuguese as saying.

"The club gave him an incredible trust when they chose him to be the next United manager after Sir Alex [Ferguson]. They believe in the power of the manager.

"There's no reason for David to be in trouble. He will have at least the time of his contract to build a team, to reach success, and to be there for many years. I don't think he needs sympathy. He has a fantastic job and no problems."

United will travel to London to take on Chelsea in the league on Sunday.
