Team News: Liverpool start Lucas against unchanged Manchester United

Liverpool bring in Lucas Leiva for Jordon Ibe for the visit of an unchanged Manchester United side.

Liverpool have brought in Lucas Leiva for Jordon Ibe for this afternoon's visit of Manchester United.

The change is just one from manager Jurgen Klopp from the side that rescued a point in the visit of Arsenal on Wednesday, with two-goal hero Roberto Firmino continuing to adopt the role of a false nine.

Striker Christian Benteke is forced to start the game on the bench for the second league outing in a row.

Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal stands by the side that were forced to accept a point at Newcastle United in midweek, with the only change coming on the bench as Guillermo Varela replaces James Weir.

Despite speculation, Adnan Januzaj - recently recalled from his loan at Borussia Dortmund - plays no part in the matchday squad, while Juan Mata starts as a sub.

The fixture has come too soon for the injured Bastian Schweinsteiger and Phil Jones, who fail to make the trip to Anfield.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Henderson, Can, Milner, Lallana, Firmino
Subs: Ward, Caulker, Smith, Allen, Teixeira, Ibe, Benteke

Manchester United: De Gea, Young, Smalling, Blind, Darmian, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Lingard, Herrera, Martial, Rooney
Subs: Romero, Borthwick-Jackson, McNair, Varela, Pereira, Mata, Memphis
