Team News: Juan Mata earns Manchester United recall

Juan Mata replaces the suspended Angel di Maria in the Manchester United side to face Tottenham Hotspur.

Juan Mata has been handed his first Premier League start since January 17 as Manchester United play host to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The Spaniard has replaced the suspended Angel di Maria, while the injured Luke Shaw's place has gone to Michael Carrick, with Daley Blind reverting to left-back.

Elsewhere, there is once again no place up front for Radamel Falcao, with Marouane Fellaini instead preferred by Louis van Gaal to partner captain Wayne Rooney in attack.

Mauricio Pochettino has made one change to the Spurs team that beat Queens Park Rangers last time out, with Danny Rose coming in for Ben Davies in the left-back position.

Man United: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Fellaini, Young, Rooney
Subs: Lindegaard, Rafael, Blackett, Pereira, Januzaj, Falcao, Wilson

Spurs: Lloris; Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose; Bentaleb, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Townsend; Kane
Subs: Vorm, Chiriches, Davies, Dembele, Lamela, Paulinho, Adebayor
