Team News: Yaya Toure captains Manchester City in derby against United

Yaya Toure is chosen as Manchester City's captain for the Manchester derby following Vincent Kompany's latest calf injury.

Yaya Toure will lead out hosts Manchester City in this afternoon's Premier League Manchester derby following the latest calf injury suffered by Vincent Kompany.

Kompany's absence is one of three changes in the hosts' backline from the 0-0 draw with Dynamo Kiev in midweek, with Bacary Sagna, Martin Demichelis and Eliaquim Mangala coming in.

In midfield, Raheem Sterling comes in for Fernando in a move that will see Toure drop into a deep-lying position.

United, meanwhile, make just two changes from Thursday night's 1-1 draw at home to Liverpool in the Europa League.

Matteo Darmian takes Guillermo Varela's place at right-back, while in midfield Morgan Schneiderlin is in for Marouane Fellaini.

Up front, youngster Marcus Rashford starts his eighth straight match in all competitions.

Manchester City: Hart; Sagna, Demichelis, Mangala, Clichy; Fernandinho, Toure; Navas, Silva, Sterling; Aguero

Manchester United: De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Rojo; Schneiderlin, Carrick; Lingard, Mata, Martial; Rashford
