Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez begins another spell on the sidelines when the Red Devils take on Aston Villa in Sunday's Premier League clash at Villa Park.
The Argentina international - who has only just returned from another foot setback - suffered a serious knee strain in last weekend's 3-0 beating of West Ham United and is facing at least eight weeks out of action.
Anthony Martial (groin), Tyrell Malacia (knee) and Mason Mount (calf) will welcome Martinez back into the medical bay, and Erik ten Hag also expects to be without Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who pulled up with an unspecified injury in Thursday's training session.
With Martinez out of contention, Raphael Varane should be given the nod to partner Harry Maguire in an otherwise unchanged backline, which will comprise Andre Onana, Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw.
As talks over a new deal rumble on in the background, Kobbie Mainoo continues to go from strength to strength in the Red Devils midfield, where he should be joined by Casemiro in the West Midlands.
On account of his brace in the victory over West Ham, Alejandro Garnacho has surely done enough to retain his place in the supporting cast with Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, as Antony is forced to try to provide impetus from the bench.
The triumph over the Hammers also saw Rasmus Hojlund make history on his 21st birthday, becoming the youngest player to net in four successive Premier League games for Manchester United, and the Dane will now be out to extend that streak to a fantastic five against the team he scored his first-ever English top-flight goal against.
Manchester United possible starting lineup:
Onana; Dalot, Maguire, Varane, Shaw; Mainoo, Casemiro; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund
