Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a fresh blow over the fitness of Hugo Lloris ahead of Thursday's Premier League clash with Manchester United in North London.
The Frenchman came off at half time in Sunday's 6-1 battering at the hands of Newcastle United with a hip problem, and he has admitted that the prognosis is not promising.
Lloris is joined on the sidelines by Rodrigo Bentancur (knee), Emerson Royal (knee), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Yves Bissouma (ankle), but Ryan Mason - who has taken the reins once again following Cristian Stellini's sacking - will have attacker Lucas Moura back from a three-game ban.
Furthermore, Clement Lenglet and Ben Davies were both passed fit to make the bench on Sunday, and at least one of the pair should be recalled as Mason switches to a back three; Stellini's four-man backline experiment at Newcastle went horribly wrong and then some.
Having shaken off his hamstring problem, Davies could get the nod alongside Cristian Romero and Eric Dier, as Fraser Forster prepares to deputise for Lloris in goal once more.
Pape Sarr, who was taken off after Newcastle's fifth goal in the first half on Sunday, will likely make way for an extra defender, as Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg continue in the middle, with Pedro Porro and Ivan Perisic returning to familiar wing-back positions.
Attempting to score his 100th Premier League home goal against one of his admirers, Harry Kane leads the line once more, most likely with Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min continuing alongside him.
Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup: Forster; Romero, Dier, Davies; Porro, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Son
