Deadline day key events
Man United head coach Amorim 'looking to unearth next Ronaldo'
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly looking for the Red Devils to build a new scouting team in Portugal in a bid to unearth the next Cristiano Ronaldo.
Amorim allegedly believes that Man United have fallen behind when it comes to scouting the best talent in Portugal and wants the system to be revamped in a bid to discover the next superstars from the country.
According to The Mirror, Amorim is concerned that the 20-time English champions are currently missing out on Portugal's top talent, while the 39-year-old's knowledge in that area will also place Man United in a strong position when it comes to bringing in highly-rated youngsters.
Man United famously signed Ronaldo from Sporting Lisbon in 2003, and the forward went on to score 118 goals in 292 appearances for the Red Devils during his first spell at the club.
Barca 'make decision' over Man United forward after Camp Nou 'links'
Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is reportedly not interested in signing Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho during next summer's transfer window.
Garnacho has been one of Man United's most productive players this season, scoring eight goals and registering four assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Argentina international was left out of the squad for the Manchester derby last weekend, with Man United head coach Ruben Amorim claiming that the forward had not been performing to the required level during training sessions in the build-up to the clash.
Garnacho was recalled for the EFL Cup contest with Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night, appearing as a second-half substitute in what proved to be a 4-3 loss for the Red Devils.
