AC Milan have reportedly made a 'first approach' for Manchester United's Eric Bailly.
The Italian giants are keen to sign a new centre-back during the January transfer window, having lost Simon Kjaer for the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury.
A recent report claimed that Bailly had emerged as a leading target for the Serie A side, while Manchester City's Nathan Ake, Arsenal's Pablo Mari and Chelsea's Malang Sarr have also been linked with moves to Milan.
According to Sky Italia, Milan have made a 'first approach' for Bailly, who is currently in action for Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The 27-year-old signed a new contract with the Red Devils last April but has found it difficult to secure regular action this season, making just seven appearances in all competitions.
The Ivorian has only featured on four occasions in the Premier League this season, with Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof ahead of him in the pecking order for the centre-back spots.
