Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is reportedly ready to sign a contract extension with the club.
Herrera's current deal expires at the end of the season, and the Spaniard has been linked with a return to Athletic Bilbao after the Spanish outfit confirmed their interest in re-signing him.
However, talkSPORT reports that interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has convinced the 29-year-old to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Previous talks over a new deal had broken down due to a disagreement over wages, with Herrera currently earning around £120,000 per week.
The Spain international was willing to leave the club this summer if no deal had been agreed before then, but after talks with Solskjaer he has now performed a U-turn.
The United board are understood to be willing to re-enter negotiations, although Herrera is also free to speak to foreign clubs now.
