Atletico Madrid have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani before tonight's transfer deadline.
The 32-year-old handed in a transfer request earlier this month, prompting interest from a host of top sides, including Atletico, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Cavani's current deal with the French champions expires at the end of the season but potential suitors have been put off by the club's asking price of £25m.
According to Sky Sports News, Atletico have submitted a top offer of £15m but have now ended their interest after that bid was rejected.
During his six-and-a-half seasons at Parc des Princes, Cavani has become PSG's all-time top scorer, winning five league titles as well as 13 domestic trophies.
