Gareth Bale has insisted that he is adamant to prove himself a success at Real Madrid, amid speculation linking him with a mega-money move to Manchester United.
On Tuesday it was reported that United lodged two bids in excess of £100m for the 26-year-old, who sealed a world-record £85m move to Real from Tottenham Hotspur two years ago.
The Welsh star struggled for form and fitness last term and fell foul of the Blancos' fans on a number of occasions as speculation of a return to England mounted.
Madrid boss Rafael Benitez recently backed him to excel under his guidance, and Bale hopes to repay the Spaniard this season.
"I am confident anyway, but it's great to have the support of the manager and the president and, hopefully, I can repay them now with goals and trophies," he told reporters in Spain.
Bale, whose contract expires in 2019, found the net in Tuesday's 2-0 win over former club Spurs in the Audi Cup.
