Barcelona 'demand £153m from Manchester United for Ansu Fati'

Manchester United will have to come up with an offer of £153m to sign Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly been told that they will have to come up with an offer of €170m (£153m) to sign Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati during this summer's transfer window.

The Red Devils continue to be linked with the 17-year-old and have allegedly already had an offer worth €150m (£135m) turned down by the Spanish champions.

According to The Times, United have been informed by an intermediary working on Barca's behalf that Fati will only be allowed to leave if his full release clause, which stands at €170m (£153m), is met.

The Spain Under-21 international has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Camp Nou, scoring six times and registering one assist in 25 appearances in all competitions.

The versatile attacker scored his fifth La Liga goal of the season in Barca's 2-0 win over Leganes on Tuesday night as Quique Setien's side stretched their lead at the summit to five points.

Fati's current deal at Camp Nou is due to expire in the summer of 2022, although the Catalan giants have the option of extending the agreement for a further two years.
