Ousmane Dembele's refusal to leave Barcelona for Manchester United on transfer deadline day reportedly left the Catalan giants infuriated with the attacker.
United's search for a right-winger and an alternative to Jadon Sancho led to them being heavily linked with a last-minute swoop for Dembele, who has struggled to make his mark at Camp Nou.
However, the Catalan giants reportedly wanted to ship the Frenchman out permanently while United were only keen on a loan deal, and as a result, talks broke down.
With Barca's proposed move for Memphis Depay also failing to come to fruition due to Dembele staying put, AS reports that La Blaugrana are furious with the 23-year-old for choosing to stay put.
The report states that Dembele was informed by Ronald Koeman that there are six players ahead of him in the pecking order at Camp Nou, but the former Borussia Dortmund man did not budge and was intent on remaining in Catalonia.
Dembele has amassed 19 goals from 75 appearances for Barcelona since his arrival in 2017, but the France international only made nine appearances in all competitions during an injury-plagued 2019-20 campaign.
