Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial emerges as a transfer target for Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona have reportedly enquired over the availability of Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial.

The 25-year-old has struggled to make his mark for the 20-time English champions during the 2021-22 campaign, managing just one goal in nine appearances in all competitions.

Martial's future at Old Trafford continues to be called into question, with the France international believed to be considering a move away from his current club next year.

According to Ara, Barcelona have spoken to Man United about Martial, with the Catalan outfit expressing an interest in bringing him to Camp Nou.

The former Monaco youngster, who was an unused substitute against Chelsea in the league on Sunday, has made 267 appearances for the Red Devils since arriving in 2015, scoring 79 goals and registering 50 assists.

Xavi's team are allegedly planning to sign at least one new forward in January amid suggestions that Sergio Aguero will be forced to retire from professional football due to his heart problems.
