Barcelona are reportedly insisting on including three fringe players in any proposal for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves.
After five years at Molineux, the Portugal international has hinted that he may be ready to take on a new challenge ahead of 2022-23.
While Barcelona have long been tipped as Neves's preferred destination, the Catalan giants cannot afford to meet Wolves' valuation, said to be somewhere between £50m and £70m.
On Friday morning, Sport led a front-page story saying that Barcelona want to offload Oscar Mingueza, Riqui Puig and Nico Gonzalez to Wolves in part-exchange.
Although the trio have 23 starts between them in La Liga this season, none of them have held down a regular spot, leading to club officials wanting to offload the three La Masia graduates as soon as possible.
As it stands, Wolves are not expected to contemplate such a method to reduce Neves' fee, but much will depend on whether their most prized asset receives formal offers from the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.
