Laurent Blanc: 'Dani Alves will sign Barcelona extension'

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc claims that Dani Alves will sign a new deal at Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has expressed his belief that Dani Alves will sign a new contract with Barcelona.

The Brazilian defender is currently in a stand-off with the Spanish club, with his contract due to expire at the end of June.

PSG, among a host of other clubs, have been linked with a move for the 32-year-old, but Blanc has claimed that the defender will ultimately sign a new deal at the Camp Nou.

"I don't think Dani Alves will join PSG," he told reporters. "Dani Alves's contract with Barcelona is due to expire, but he intends to stay there."

Manchester United have also been strongly linked with the right-back.
