Manchester United left-back Alexander Buttner has revealed that he could sign a new contract with the Premier League champions, despite rumours of a possible exit.
The Dutchman had been tipped to leave Old Trafford following reports of interest from Sunderland, Celtic and Besiktas.
The player's future with the Red Devils also looked uncertain when his agent Alexander Bursac criticised manager David Moyes for not giving the full-back his "trust".
However, Buttner has claimed that he has been assured by Moyes that he has a future with United, who made just one major signing during the summer transfer window.
"Last Wednesday I had a good meeting with our manager David Moyes," Buttner told De Telegraaf. "He told me that I will play enough this year at Manchester United.
"He absolutely didn't want to let me go. He sees me as a full United player. The club now want to talk about a new deal. That shows a lot of appreciation."
The news comes after winger Nani signed new five-year contract.
