Dani Carvajal has revealed that he expects Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos to stay with the Spanish giants this summer.
Ramos has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, with the player believed to be pining for a move to Old Trafford.
However, it is now understood that the Spaniard is leaning towards signing a new long-term deal with Los Blancos, and Carvajal has backed Ramos to thrive in his role as captain.
"Sergio is our captain and I'm sure he'll do well. I only know that he is a Madrid player today and he's focused on Madrid's games. I don't see him in another shirt," the right-back has been quoted as saying by AS. "He's won a lot and has many years at the club to get ready for that role and I'm sure he'll do well."
Real Madrid will continue their pre-season preparations with a International Champions Cup match against AC Milan on Thursday.
