Chelsea are reportedly still hoping to sign Lyon striker Moussa Dembele this summer despite suggestions that Manchester United have already agreed a deal for the Frenchman.
Dembele has been in impressive form for his French club during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 22 times in 42 appearances in all competitions, including 16 goals in 27 Ligue 1 outings.
A recent report claimed that United had agreed a £62m deal with Lyon for the transfer of the 23-year-old, who starred for Celtic before arriving in France.
However, according to ESPN, Dembele is still Chelsea's 'preferred option' as the capital giants look to bring in competition for Tammy Abraham during this summer's transfer window.
The report, though, claims that RB Leipzig's Timo Werner and Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are also being considered by Frank Lampard's side.
The Blues, meanwhile, are allegedly keen to offload as many as five first-team players ahead of the 2020-21 campaign in order to raise additional funds.
