Chelsea handed boost in bid to sign Lyon forward Moussa Dembele?

Chelsea are reportedly handed a boost in their efforts to sign Lyon forward Moussa Dembele later in 2020.

Lyon are reportedly open to parting ways with forward Moussa Dembele during the next transfer window.

Having scored 42 goals from 79 appearances since August 2018, Dembele is regarded as one of Lyon's key men - a status which has led to the French outfit rejecting previous bids for his signature.

That stance resulted in Chelsea missing out on the 23-year-old in January as they failed to strengthen their then-misfiring attack.

However, according to 90 min, Lyon are ready to encourage the Blues to make another approach for the former Celtic man.

With Dembele still having over three years left on his contract, Lyon are likely to demand in excess of £40m for the attacker.

Manchester United have also been linked with a bid for Dembele in the past.
