Chelsea have reportedly made contact with those closely involved with Erling Braut Haaland, as the Blues look to beat a number of clubs to the Borussia Dortmund striker.
The Norway international - said to be wanted by the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid - scored 41 times in 41 appearances for BVB last term.
Haaland does have a release clause in his current deal, but it cannot be activated until next year, and a recent report claimed that the German giants want €200m (£172m) for the forward this summer.
According to Goal, Chelsea have made contact with the 20-year-old's agent Mino Raiola and also Dortmund to register their interest ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
The report claims that the Blues also have an interest in Harry Kane, but the Tottenham Hotspur striker would rather join Man United or Man City this summer.
Haaland has scored 57 times and registered 15 assists in 59 appearances for BVB since joining the club from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020.
