Ajax head coach Frank de Boer has urged Daley Blind to think strongly about his future.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a switch to Manchester United in recent weeks and, when asked about that speculation at the weekend, the 24-year-old hinted that he would be interested in a move to Old Trafford.
However, De Boer has insisted that, while Blind would be deserving of such a transfer, he can still "improve a lot" at the Amsterdam Arena.
"I'm sure that he will make the right choice. If he goes to a big club he deserves it, but I still think it would be better to stay one [more] year [at Ajax]," De Boer told Sky Sports News.
"Last year was a good year for him, but I still think that he can improve a lot with Ajax."
One bookmaker has this afternoon slashed the odds of Blind signing for United to 1/3.
