Angel di Maria 'must ask to leave Manchester United'

Angel di Maria will only leave Manchester United if he puts in a transfer request, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly only let Angel di Maria leave the club if he asks for a transfer.

The Argentine international has struggled to settle into life at Old Trafford and has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the Daily Mail claims that Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has not completely given up hope of keeping the ex-Real Madrid man in the North-West beyond the summer.

It is thought that the Dutchman believes Di Maria could be a success with a good pre-season following the Copa America.

PSG have allegedly stepped up their interest in the winger, in the hope of luring him to the Parc des Princes for next season.

However, it is reported that only a transfer request or an eye-watering offer from any prospective suitor will lead to Di Maria leaving United.
