Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard is reportedly a target for Everton after impressing on loan for West Ham United last season.

Everton are in the running to sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United, according to a report.

Lingard revived his career during a loan spell with West Ham United in the second half of 2020-21, scoring and assisting a combined 13 goals in 16 appearances.

West Ham are keen to bring the England international back to the London Stadium this coming season, but The Sun claims that David Moyes faces competition from his former club.

Everton are said to be looking to further strengthen out wide, having already brought in free agent Andros Townsend, and new boss Rafael Benitez has identified Lingard as an ideal option.

However, speaking to reporters last weekend, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the 28-year-old is currently part of his plans for the 2021-22 campaign.
