Radamel Falcao's Chelsea switch nears conclusion?

A report in Spain claims that former Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao is on the verge of signing for Chelsea.

Chelsea are reportedly close to completing the signing of Radamel Falcao.

Speculation has suggested that Falcao's agent Jorge Mendes has been in discussions with the West Londoners ever since Manchester United informed the Colombian striker that they would not be taking up the option to sign him permanently following his season-long loan stint at Old Trafford.

He remains on the books of Ligue 1 outfit Monaco, but the 29-year-old could finalise his switch to West London within a matter of days, according to Punto Pelota.

It has been suggested that the Blues will pay their French counterparts £25m for the forward, who scored four goals for United last term.

Liverpool were also thought to be interested, but Falcao preferred a move to the English capital.
