Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly organised talks with veteran Paul Scholes over extending his contract with the Red Devils.
The former England international has been an integral part of United's title challenge this season after coming out of retirement to help the North West club's midfield woes.
It is believed that Ferguson is desperate to keep Scholes, who has been offered a fresh 12-month contract, according to the Daily Star.
Reports have suggested that Ferguson's plans for this summer's transfer window will alter if Scholes decides to stay on at Old Trafford.
