Barcelona will reportedly make an attempt to sign Bayern Munich attacker Jamal Musiala during this summer's transfer window.
The Germany international has again been in strong form for Bayern during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 14 goals and registering six assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.
There remains uncertainty when it comes to Musiala's future, as the 21-year-old only has a contract at Allianz Arena until June 2026, and he is on the radar of a number of major European clubs.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester United are all said to be keen on the attacker, who has scored 57 goals and registered 37 assists in 188 appearances for Bayern in all competitions.
According to SPORT, Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is eyeing a 'dream' reunion with the player this summer, but the Catalan outfit have accepted that it will be very difficult to secure his services.
Flick handed Musiala his Bayern debut at the age of 17, and the strong relationship between the two individuals has allegedly put Barcelona in a position where a transfer is possible despite the numbers involved.

Barcelona 'planning big-money move for Musiala'
Musiala allegedly has 'a special fondness of Barcelona', while it is understood that senior figures at the club, alongside Flick, have identified the Germany international as the ideal signing this summer.
Barcelona are allegedly preparing to make 'one or two big signings' during this summer's transfer window and could move for Musiala even if the attacker pens a new deal at Camp Nou.
However, the Catalan outfit would have to free up a lot of space in their budget to make room for Musiala's salary, with the attacker likely to demand a pay packet in line with the biggest stars in European football.
Frenkie de Jong is among those expected to be moved on by Barcelona this summer, and his departure would do a lot for the Catalan team in terms of their finances, as the Dutchman is on a considerable amount of money.

What would Musiala bring to Barcelona?
It would be fascinating to see how Flick fits Musiala, Pedri, Gavi and Lamine Yamal into the same side, but it is understood that Barcelona view the Bayern star as a player capable of operating out wide or in a midfield area.
Robert Lewandowski is having another excellent season, but the experienced forward is entering the latter stages of his time at Barcelona, so there will be a spot in the front three when he eventually moves on.
Flick could potentially find a way to get Raphinha, Yamal and Musiala into the same team by using the former as a false nine, with Gavi and Pedri then operating in the deeper positions.
Barcelona need to find a way to close the gap on a Real Madrid side that are again the favourites for the La Liga title this season, and bringing in a player of Musiala's ilk would certainly be a huge step in the right direction.
