Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan has dismissed speculation that has linked him with a move away from the Portuguese club.
Recent reports had suggested that Premier League duo Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur had made a move for the 26-year-old.
However, having transferred to Europe from Boca Juniors in 2010, Gaitan has insisted that he has no plans to switch clubs again.
"I have to be honest, at the time I did not want to leave Boca Juniors. I had played there all my life, but it was a good deal for me and the club," he told Benfica TV. "I had the opportunity to come play in Europe, to play the Champions League and Europa League, and now I'm very happy to be at Benfica.
"The same thought that I had when I was at Boca Juniors is what I now think of Benfica. I do not want to leave. I'm not heading for the exit at Benfica."
The Argentine scored eight goals in all competitions last term.
